| I tested urlview and w3m, see thread "access links in mail body" above. Both cut long url's, e.g. those in Mails from ebay. I've bought something from ebay and pipe the body to urlview: -> 1 http://pages.ebay.de/help/basics/select-support.html 2 http://cgi3.ebay.de/aw-cgi/eBayISAPI...ngDispatcher&= 3 http://cgi.ebay.de/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?...35&ssPageName= 4 http://cgi2.ebay.de/aw-cgi/eBayISAPI...ageName=3DADM= 5 http://pages.ebay.de/help/buyerguide...Name=3DADME:B= 6 http://cgi1.ebay.de/aw-cgi/eBayISAPI...e=3DADME:B:EO= 7 http://pages.ebay.de/community/chat/...ME:B:EOAB:DE:= 8 http://www2.ebay.com/aw/de-marktplat...E:B:EOAB:DE:28 9 http://pages.ebay.de/help/index.html...E:B:EOAB:DE:18 10 http://ebay.de.mediaplex.com/ad/ck/1...4?eoa=3D1klei2 11 http://pages.ebay.de/help/account_protect= All links are cutted by "=" at the end. Any real existing "=" in a URL is replaced by "=3D" so that even short urls are not valid. w3m: ==== piping the mail to w3m the links showed als plain text are cutted at the end of the line. So the links are not valid. Sorry, I can't copy the text w3m shows, it's not possible. But tabe this: xxxxxxxxxxxx xxxxxxxxxxxx xxxxxxxxx xxxxxxxxxx xxx http://cgi.ebay.de/ws/ebayISAPI.dll?...tem=4146691153 .... and pipe it to w3m. I shold show the effect. Ekkard |

Yes, if you are piping the e-mail to w3m and using the default mutt settings, you will have this problem. The message that you are piping uses quoted-printable encoding. I can tell from the '=' at the ends of some lines. There are two ways around this problem. One is to execute 'set pipe_decode' before piping the message. The other is to set w3m as the pager for these messages. I think setting 'pipe_decode' will solve the urlview problem, too. Also, it should be possible to copy text from w3m by holding the shift key down while dragging as usual with the left mouse button. This works for me when running w3m in an xterm window, anyway.
