| Hi guys, I'm trying to get my local procmail + mutt to filter my mail and move it into local mailboxes. I connect to a Sendmail server via SMTP. Can it be done? +----------+ +----------+ | SERVER | SMTP | CLIENT | | Sendmail |==========>>| Procmail | +--- [INBOX] | - No | | mutt --|--| |Procmail- | | | +--- [Filtered Mail] +----------+ +----------+ So in clear, what I want is to be able to download all the mail From my Server and have my *local* procmail filter it into seperate local mail folders. As I said, I have no access to the Server so POP is out of the question ![]() Many thanks Ed. |

I'm setting the follow-up to comp.mail.misc. This is not a Mutt question. Plenty of procmail experts there. | Thanks for your answers! Sorry for the posting in the wrong place. I thought procmail had to be on the server to be able to filter mail. I have the filter you mention on my client (.forward) and I can connect to the remote server via smtp, but no filtering. Not to worry though, I'm reading the procmail man pages ![]() Thanks again.
