mutt + postfix - Mutt

This is a discussion on mutt + postfix - Mutt ; Hi, >From a tutorial for mutt+nbsmtp, I have the line set sendmail="/usr/bin/nbmstp ..." in my .muttrc and it works fine. Now I need to have the same with postfix. How can I configure mutt to use postfix as its mta? ...

    Hi,

    >From a tutorial for mutt+nbsmtp, I have the line

    postfix. How can I configure mutt to use postfix as its mta?

    I use postfix and have this:

    set sendmail="/usr/sbin/sendmail -oem -oi

    I know it doesn't look correct - postfix has an alias for
    sendmail for compatibility.

    Do you need any of this? I have the above line commented out and mutt
    plus postfix work together fine.

    No, you don't need the above. In fact, the above is just the
    default according to 'man muttrc'.

    I just mentioned it because the OP had changed it from the
    default. Of course, he could just comment it out as you (and I)
    have.
