Subject trimming - any folder hook?

This is a discussion on Subject trimming - any folder hook? within the Mutt forums in Other Technologies category; Is there any option to trim a subject within a certain mailbox by certain parts? set reply_regexp is very powerful. I'd like to have a matching set subject_regexp which would be applied according to the mailbox I'm in. Example: I subscribed to sourceforge lists which have subject suffixes such as [notepad-plus - Open Discussion] [notepad-plus - Help] I'd like to replace this subject whenever I'm in my mailbox npp by [OD] [H] .... so this would be multiple filters in order to s/^ *\[notepad-plus - Open Discussion\]/[OD]/ Is there any option around? Thanks, Martin...

Default Subject trimming - any folder hook?

Is there any option to trim a subject within a certain mailbox by
certain parts?

set reply_regexp is very powerful. I'd like to have a matching
set subject_regexp which would be applied according to the mailbox I'm
in.

Example: I subscribed to sourceforge lists which have subject suffixes
such as
[notepad-plus - Open Discussion]
[notepad-plus - Help]

I'd like to replace this subject whenever I'm in my mailbox npp by
[OD]
[H]

.... so this would be multiple filters in order to
s/^ *\[notepad-plus - Open Discussion\]/[OD]/

Is there any option around?

Thanks,
Martin
