| mailcap entry for type text/html not found What might be the cause of that? And what to do about it? (Maybe *I* screwed-up by deleting something I shouldn't have?) Thanks, David |

The problem seems to be that you don't have a mailcap file containing an entry for text/html where mutt is looking for one. This could be because your mailcap file was moved, deleted or corrupted, or because the value of the 'mailcap_path' variable changed, or because you're using a different mutt that was built with a different default 'mailcap_path'. Take a look at the mutt manual, section 3, "MIME Viewer configuration with mailcap", for a description of the places mutt looks by default. You can find the values of the variables mentioned there by executing mutt -v at your shell prompt. You can find the current value of 'mailcap_path' by executing set ?mailcap_path -- Gary Johnson |
