| Hi, I am using: andrew@ilium~$ mutt -v | head -n1 Mutt 1.5.18 (2008-05-17) with the 'Mail-Followup-To' set in .muttrc as follows: set followup_to=yes And I can see in my sent mail that this works well with lists that I have marked as lists and subscribed. But I cannot see this header anywhere except in my sent mail although I have set the following: set edit_headers=yes ignore * unignore Mail-Followup-To: In particular I am a little puzzled that I cannot see the header when composing a message in vim. I suspect I am missing something very basic here? Andrew -- http://www.andrews-corner.org |

Well at least I am not missing something obvious. Mind you I prefer to decide _myself_ what is sensible rather than have software dictate it to me. I should not complain too much though mutt as has been good to me for the most part :-). Andrew -- http://www.andrews-corner.org |

If you hit "r" to reply to an email you are reading in mutt then it is mutt that sets the References: header based on the headers in the mail you are replying to. I don't think you can easily override this but then you wouldn't normally want to. I only came across this when I was trying out ways to get messages delivered to Hotmail users without having them vaporised by their broken spam filtering system.
