Quick and simple question about :exec

This is a discussion on Quick and simple question about :exec within the Mutt forums in Other Technologies category; Hello everybody, I would like to uncheck the new flag on all messages periodically (it's a long story why). So I need to do something like ":exec tag- pattern ~N quit", but I can't figure out how to pass ~N as a parameter to tag-pattern. What's the right syntax for that? Thanks!...

Default Quick and simple question about :exec

Hello everybody,

I would like to uncheck the new flag on all messages periodically
(it's a long story why). So I need to do something like ":exec tag-
pattern ~N quit", but I can't figure out how to pass ~N as a parameter
to tag-pattern. What's the right syntax for that?

Thanks!

I believe you need "push" instead of "exec"

ush "<tag-pattern>~N"; exec quit
