www.tarahumara.org, the home page, the photo of the indian in the master
border left, it has always been just fine, till suddenly it comes out in
two separate misalligned halves, with some funky bumps at the bottom! I
am just about to redisign and finish this site soon anyway, but I would
like to know if anyone knows what could cause this. It's the same in
both browsers.

Re: Oh-my-God! Please tell me what this is???
It's not a browser issue, and it's not an alignment issue (it's one
image, not 2 stacked images).
Have you done anything to this image lately? You may have accidentally
saved it as a CMYK .jpg image, instead of an RGB image -- this can cause
problems. Or there may have been a file corruption in the upload. When I
download it and try to open it in Photoshop, I'm given a photoshop error
that the file is invalid. This suggests perhaps corruption on upload. If
the original source file on your machine is still OK, try re-uploading
the file to replace this one, and make sure to upload it as a binary
file.

As of 10:03 AM PST on 22 Sept, the image looks OK. Did you determine
what might have caused the problem?

You might consider compressing your images a little, there is one image that
is 219 kb - guaranteed to turn the punters away in droves. Have a play with
jpg compression and you will be surprised at how small you can get the image
without losing too much quality.
Also the gap at the bottom of the page may be caused because the page is set
as columns rather than rows. Might be worth looking at this.
Regards.

As of this time I have no idea what caused the problem other than from what
the others have said. But now I have a more pressing problem on my
www.newsgap.com website (see my 7:15pm post) which I would certainly
appreciate your help with!!!! I have just worked too darn hard to have to go
through this everytime!! Also, I would like to suggest that if NO can't
bring itself to at least offer short term phone or quick email help at a
reasonable price, that it at least have a person or two on an online chat
area where people can get some live help. By the time I get through all
these bugs, I might be qualified if not too inclinded to do it myself for a
reasonable fee!
Thanks,
John Earl
