| Well, installed the NOF trial and gave it a try... It busted one of my largest sites. When I try to open it now, both in NOF7 and NOF8 this is the respond: "An attempt was made to access an unnamed file pasts its end." the only button to klick is "OK" and when I do that NOF crashes. I have tried to reinstall, defragged the harddrive, made security checks and turned all antivirus software off. There is no way to open the file anymore, both in NOF7 nor NOF8. Has anyone had this problem and knows a soloution? I know, I have backups, but a few days work will be busted anyway unfortunally.. /M |

| ouch, it is not a good idea to open a production site in trial software you really needed to backup the Nof7 user site before opening in Nof8 there are 2 ways to transfer a 7 site to 8 1. export 7 site to template, then start a new site in 8 from that template, your Nof7 site will remain untouched and not harmed in any way 2. copy the user site from the 7 user sites folder to te 8 user sites folder, then open the site in 8 and immediately save as a new name, then you can delete the originally copied site from the Nof8 user sites folder, your Nof7 site will remain untouched and not harmed in any way -- Anton Strauss www.videoproductions.com.au "Armor" <swedisharmor@telia.com> wrote in message news:cimear$g8t1@news01.netobjects.com... > Well, installed the NOF trial and gave it a try... > > It busted one of my largest sites. > > When I try to open it now, both in NOF7 and NOF8 this is the respond: > > "An attempt was made to access an unnamed file pasts its end." the only > button to klick is "OK" and when I do that NOF crashes. > > I have tried to reinstall, defragged the harddrive, made security checks and > turned all antivirus software off. > > There is no way to open the file anymore, both in NOF7 nor NOF8.
