| Have you pasted code or formatted text from MS Word or Excel into your site? This can cause nods to misbehave big time. --Nancy "NewToNOF" <mark@praxipower.com> wrote in message news:f0041q$jhk7@flsun90netnews01.netobjects.com.. . > Re-optimized, verified assets and links, re-optimizing again - has been > running now for about 15 mins. > > The reason for doing above is the delay of anywhere from 10-20 mins, or > more when saving site, exporting or importing template. | In assets view, links tab, do you see any missing pages? --Nancy "NewToNOF" <mark@praxipower.com> wrote in message news:f00vov$nks9@flsun90netnews01.netobjects.com.. . > Nothing from Excel used, MSWord ALWAYS goes to ascii text editor before > it goes to the page, Thanks. > > I've just about convinced myself that it's in a NOF component, which one > eludes me. | I see two now. In the "Link To" column it shows: (Page Missing). When I double click on the link, it opens the "Links" window. The name of the link is listed. I highlight it and click the "Go To" button and the page is there. This happens for both of the links showing(Page Missing). ???! | What this means is that you had links on your site to pages that have since been deleted. Always better to remove links to pages B4 you delete the page otherwise your site can become unstable. In links tab, click on the missing pages. Go to the pages or layouts displayed (indicating that links to missing pages are still there). Remove the old links, or unlink and re-link to active pages. Save. Remove missing pages from Links tab. This should make your site stable again. Save again. Reoptimize site. Now try exporting to template. | Re-optimized, verified assets and links, re-optimizing again - has been running now for about 15 mins. The reason for doing above is the delay of anywhere from 10-20 mins, or more when saving site, exporting or importing template. All other functions seem to be working ok. |

| Nothing from Excel used, MSWord ALWAYS goes to ascii text editor before it goes to the page, Thanks. I've just about convinced myself that it's in a NOF component, which one eludes me. The reason I think that's it is because I have bigger sites (364 pages) that this delay has never shown itself. The site with the issue is only 27 pages at this point. Each site uses the same type of components (flash navbar, submit forms, etc.) What has me stumped is when I look at Windows Task Manager the CPU usage is 99-100% at the time and during the entire time that NOF "hangs". The instance of NOF running is "locked up", but I CAN launch any other app. or another instance of NOF and it runs ok, except when I open a copy the problem template, it causes that instance lock up, too. On the problem site, it hangs when I try to export either the entire site or only one page, and it hangs on exporting regardless of which one of the pages I'm trying export as a template. |

| Thank you, Nancy. Great advice. I've now fixed all the broken links. I've stepped back through verifying assets and links, closed and re-opened NOF, but I'm still seeing the 'hangup'. It is consistently occurring at one certain point. When I try to -save the project, -import or export a template, -or re-optimize the dialog window gets "stuck" at the the "Importing structures and assets", 71%, the CPU goes to 99% busy for Fusion.exe, and of course, my little laptop computer fan tries it's best to cool things down. Would you, by happen chance, have any more suggestions? Anyone? (hopefully?) Nancy O wrote: > What this means is that you had links on your site to pages that have since > been deleted. | Honestly, it's hard to dx a problem without seeing it. Sounds like you may have a corrupted page or masterborders. Make a new master border. Apply it to all your pages. Delete all other master borders. Save, reoptimize, etc. --Nancy "NewToNOF" <mark@praxipower.com> wrote in message news:f048br$44u10@flsun90netnews01.netobjects.com. .. > The accompanying reply should have indicating NOF is getting 'stuck' at > "Importing structure and Layouts" 71%... |

| Nancy, I understand about being difficult in seeing the problem. But you've been quite helpful in responding, nonetheless. It's at least given me some insight to other issues. I'll relieve you from this burden, but I hope when something else pops up in the future that I'll still have the resources like you to help out. Thanks. ~later.... |
