| I designed a website to promote a friends band. I did this in Fusion 7. I then got a free upgrade to Fusion 8, but I could never get the menus to work in the same way as I had in Fusion 7. Another free upgrade to Fusion 9 ... same problem. Take a look at www.twogiraffes.co.uk and you'll see how the menu currently works.... hovering over some of the parent menu options pops up child options. I can't seem to do that in 8 or 9. Any idea why not? Alan |

| Suggestion #1 get rid of frames. I don't think you need frames and they make your site overly complex. Of course you can have flyout menus in NOF8 and NOF9. This is from the NOF9 on-line user guide: http://netobjects.com/en/nof/9/00/do...properties.htm --Nancy "Alan Smith" <fusion@thesmithz.o.uk> wrote in message news:f00rh8$m7e13@flsun90netnews01.netobjects.com. .. > I designed a website to promote a friends band. > > I did this in Fusion 7. > > I then got a free upgrade to Fusion 8, but I could never get the menus to > work in the same way as I had in Fusion 7. > > Another free upgrade to Fusion 9 ... same problem. > > Take a look at www.twogiraffes.co.uk and you'll see how the menu currently > works.... hovering over some of the parent menu options pops up child > options. > > I can't seem to do that in 8 or 9. > > Any idea why not? > > Alan > > |

| thanks. Isn't the defaulf for NOF to generate sites with frames ? If I was to remove all the frames, that would mean I'd have to duplicate my header & menu bar on every single page ... right ? | Frames are not necessary at all. Masterborders are what allow for the same menus & headers etc. to remain the same on all pages. Frames are separate and switched on and off in your Masterborder properties. There may be a bit of rearranging necessary, but it is worth it. Frames are not good practice nowadays and sites like Google do not search your site properly if you use them.
