How to put Greek text on buttons

This is a discussion on How to put Greek text on buttons within the Net Objects Fusion forums in Application Servers & Tools category; Hi, I'm doing a Greek version of a NOF site, just replacing text, links etc. I can cut and paste Greek text from an .rtf file into text boxes ok, but how do I change the text on buttons? If I cut and paste Greek text into the properties palette I just get a bunch of question marks. Changing the site or page character set options to various Greek character sets seems to have no effect. Thanks for your help, liam...

Hi,

I'm doing a Greek version of a NOF site, just replacing text, links etc. I
can cut and paste Greek text from an .rtf file into text boxes ok, but how
do I change the text on buttons? If I cut and paste Greek text into the
properties palette I just get a bunch of question marks. Changing the site
or page character set options to various Greek character sets seems to have
no effect.

Thanks for your help,

AFAIK you will probably need to use your own custom buttons for this.

Hi,

If I have to make a button set from scratch, how do I use the images?

I guess I can't just customise a standard navbar; do I use a table with
images in and then the picture rollover component?

Thanks for your help,

liam

Yes, you could 'customise' a standard navbar.

Create the navbar in English instead of Greek and publish the web site locally - the buttons will be in /assets/images/autogen - they are just gif files. Create a matching set of buttons in an image editor (e.g. gimp) with the same files names but with the text in Greek. Then copy and paste your new gifs into /assets/images/autogen to overwrite those generated by NOF. Test, then upload using a third party FTP program.
