Reinstallation on new machine

Default Reinstallation on new machine

I had to reinstall the operating system on my computer and all the programs.
Can I simply copy over the User Sites folder from a backup of the old
installtion or do I need to do something else to restore my site(s).

That has always worked for me.

Generally it is better to keep all data off the OS drive (usually C. I
keep my data on the D: drive and back it up each night. I image the C:
drive so in the event of a major problem I just restore the image and my
data remains intact. I have a link in the NOF User Sites folder to the
User Sites folder on my D: drive.
