Mico ORB under Windows

This is a discussion on Mico ORB under Windows within the Object forums in Theory and Concepts category; Hi, I'm using Mico with Windows XP and MSVC 7.1. I have compiled it successfully but when I started the idl.exe (e.g. idl calc.idl) it suspend and no respond is given. I check the netstat and its look like the idl.exe opens the 2012 port and wait for sth ?! Does anybody meet this behavior already? Thanks in advance, T....

No, I've not seen IDL compiler waiting indifinitely, but it opens TCP
port since it internally starts Interface Repository and that's why you
see some port accepting incomming connection. The question is, which
MICO release do you use exactly? As I said, I've never seen such issue
on my x86/XP/VC++ 7.1 box using latest 2.3.12 release...

Cheers,
Karel

I'm using two software configurations with the same effect as I wrote
1. x86-64/XP 64bit/VC++ 7.1
2. x86/XP/VC++ 8.0
both with the latest Mico (2.3.12) release.
PS. Could you send me your idl.exe file - just for test?

Thanks,
Thomas

This platform is not supported yet.

To get support for this platform you will need to use latest
development sources or next release.

Karel
