Default Oracle connections

Does anyone have SIMPLE instructions on how to create a connection string to
an Oracle database? Our application already talks to Access and Sql Server
but we are being asked to do Oracle as well.

However, you posted in a "ODBC" newsgroup, and you should be advised that
using an ODBC driver with Oracle is not optimal.

But the selection of Driver/Provider will come down ultimately to the data
access library you are planning to use.

Thanks for the link! I will take a look there. I realize that the ODBC
driver is not optimal however since we support Sql Server and Access it is
making life a bit easier for us.

If you are using ADO, you can change to an OLE DB provider for all of them.
I only keep harping on this, because you are almost certainly going to
experience annoyances with Oracle and ODBC Drivers.

Oracle provides a decent OLE DB provider, but the ODBC drivers suck. <g>
