Can anyone tell me? 1) When transaction begin using 'begintrans', does it lock the field only after it write the data to that field? 2) When the field is locked by transaction, can I read the data field? Or, I just cannot write but can read? Or, It depends on database setting ? 3) For doing shared or exclusive lock, can i do it Database level or programming level ?  Transaction problems Hello, I have some questions about transactions.
