Newbie Mercury Problems
After installing Mercury I can't seem to get it to run. Launching the
..exe causes the splash screen to come up, which is followed by a
window that begins to initialize, but it immediately shuts down
without an error message. I've tried this on three Win XP Pro SP1
boxes. Two of them have this problem, the third does not but it is
not networked and won't be for a while.
Anyone familiar with a problem like this? I find it hard to believe
that it would occur on 2/3rds of my computers without it happening
elsewhere.

I have no mercury.ini, and creating an empty one doesn't help.

You'll want to re-install Mercury to get a good copy of mercury.ini.
Afterwords, create a backup of that file, in case something goes wrong.
Improper configurations have been know to crash mercury in such a way to
ruin mercury.ini.

Re: Newbie Mercury Problems
It's not creating a mercury.ini file during installation, and I've
tried reinstalling several times. When I get access to that third PC
of mine, I'll see if it has a mercury.ini and try to copy it over.

Yep, it worked fine when I copied over the mercury.ini file. Thanks
for the help. Any idea why it wasn't creating the file on two
different computers?
