Mercury.ini empty and Mercury doesn't load

  1. Default Mercury.ini empty and Mercury doesn't load

Has anyone seen this strange behaviour of Mercury/32? Mercury loses its
configuration totally and doesn't load anymore. In the Mercury root folder
the mercury.ini is empty and so are some mailing list *.mlf files.

I've seen this on a Windows NT 4 Workstation (service pack 6a) and on a
different Windows XP (service pack 1) machine. It happened with version
4.01a as well as version 3.32. Each time within a couple of hours after the
installation. Until this happens Mercury works perfectly. Is Mercury/32
incompatible with workstation type Windows machines?

    Thanks for any help.

    Ed

I've seen this happen where the program was running on a Windows NT
workstation machine and the program directory was on a Novell server. Since
moving the Mercury program directory to the C: drive of the Windows NT
machine I've not had it re-occur.
