| Hello, Am using Peg 4.41 as a mail receiver. In my project I hopefully expect to receive emails from many senders but I found a problem in the layout of the received body. I did a lot of inhouse testing using my Outlook Express as the sender. The body I sent was the same format/layout as what I saw in my .cnm file and what I expected. When it receives the very same email from a Hotmail sender the body sent and the body received are vastly different - what was in the .cnm was a slew of many concatenated lines. This is bad news for me. I need to receive the body exactly as it was sent. And might other sending software show other unpleasantries? Is there a simple solution, a parameter I've missed or something? If there's not enough above to answer my question, I can submit small examples. Thanks Graham P.S. Am hoping to avoid attachments but is such a solution ? . . ** Posted from http://www.teranews.com ** |

A received email has no "body" as such, it is just a string of text. Body being only a concept of making the mail when sending and displaying the mail on receiving. So if there is a difference between the sent mail and the received one, except for the header lins indicating he route, it surely must have been changed inbetween. Especially if it is only affects Hotmail mails. > And might other sending software show other unpleasantries? But ... You are using pmail only at the receiving end you said? So you mean other than Outlook? That would probably be off topic here, unless you are asking if pmail as a sender would do a better job. > Is there a simple solution, a parameter I've missed or something? > > If there's not enough above to answer my question, I can submit small > examples. Perhaps you should refrase? -- Evertjan. The Netherlands. (Please change the x'es to dots in my emailaddress) |

| Evertjan, Will take a look at the 4th tab suggestion - out of town for a few days. Will get back to you if I may. Thanks.
