WINPMFUA.PM is driving me nuts

  1. Default WINPMFUA.PM is driving me nuts

I know I've brought this up before but this drives me so nuts I'm even
considering changing to any other mailer that wouldn't have such a
restriction. And yes, I tried going into the community forums to post
but I have enough sign ons there not to remember one single password
and did not get anything back my mail either in a few hours.

Dioesn anyone know what is the logic behind WINPMFUA.PM? Is it a
certain amount of lines before it empties the last lines or what?

These days I'm mailing lots of people with intervals of like two or
three months. And I never get the address filled in by default. And
digging through old mails, keeping a huge deleted mails backlog just to
find someone when needed... it's just not maintainable.

I could write a program to save the contents of that file into a
database and refresh if from that database but that still wouldn't work
well as it's the single entries I need. I don't want a supersized
addressbook either although I guess I could figure out the format of
the addressbook and add every entry from WINPMFUA.PM as a@a.com aliases
    with a@a.com as their email.

I don't know. It can't be this hard. If Harris would add a "never
expires" tag to WINPMFUA.PM you could at least clean it manually if it
got some entries that you don't want there.

Instresting why I didn't find anything in the forums searching for
WINPMFUA.PM as now I did find those. Must be a Friday thing.

75 lines is probably far too little for me so read-only is not a good
option but I didn't know there was such an easy way to delete. Weekly
or afternoonly maintenance just might make it less tedious. Thanks.

I take the time to transfer addresses I want to keep to the address book.
