Alert.pl - Perl

Tom,

There appears to be a way to have both text and color indicators on
alert.pl, but this will require the use of something besides the
Notebook widget. The new widget will require a non-baseline Perl module
to be downloaded and installed on each workstation (and also makes it
more hassle to share with other offices).

I'm not sure if we should go this route...
