PC-Pine & PC-Alpine color problem

This is a discussion on PC-Pine & PC-Alpine color problem within the Pine forums in Other Technologies category; I've been using PC-Pine for years on XP machines, most recently 4.64. I moved my pinerc to a new machine and everything is fine except that I can't override the text colors for basic text. In the Config menu there is a "Set Window Font" that allows me to set the font and the color. In the past, the colors I assigned in pinerc overrode this setting, but that's no longer the case. This is an issue because I have some vision problems and none of the provided options works well for me. And there is no custom color option ...
