Encrypted Email Connection

Default Encrypted Email Connection

I just recently installed Alpine to test it out as a mail client on
Windows. I have been getting the message...

An Encrypted email connection has been detected.

Please see help for more information...

I realize that this is a RTFM issue, but when ever I search the config
section of the setup or read through the options under help I can't
find anything about authenticating under SSL.

Unfortunately, when I did the install everything just worked so I know
very little about the Alpine setup. I do know that our mail server is
pop/smtp with an SSL certificate though.

Can anyone tell me where I find the settings related to encrypted
email for a Windows setup using POP?

Thanks in advance.

That sounds like a message coming from something like a virusscanner or a
firewall on your PC. It isn't an alpine message.

Thanks. It didn't even occur to me that it would be something else,
it hadn't shown up before using Thunderbird so I just assumed that it
had something to do with Alpine.

Turns out it's symantec complaining that it can't scan the SSL
encrypted connection.

Thanks for your help.
