Default Gmail INBOX problems

Hi, I'm a new Alpine user. I'm trying to set up Alpine to access and
send mail from three different gmail accounts.

Following these instructions:

http://recycledspace.com/2007/12/22/...mail-included/

and these:

http://www.ii.com/internet/messaging/pine/pc/#gmailIMAP

I have managed to get two accounts working perfectly, using Roles to
decide which account to send new mails from.

For some reason I can't work out at all, the third account, which has
been set up in exactly the same way, is not working so well. I can
send mails from it, and I can see all mails in the [Google Mail]
folder and other labels, but I can't see any mails in my 'INBOX' for
that account.

The only clear differences between the accounts that I can think of is
this account is a google-mail account where the others are gmail
accounts, and this account has punctuation marks in the password which
i know cause problems with URL identification unless an escape
character is used, where the others don't. However, I don't think it
can be a password problem, as I can see all mails and send mails
successfully. It's just the INBOX that isn't displaying properly.

Any ideas?

Thanks!
