The 2671 paper tape reader -- the /only/ machine in the 26xx series (at the time). You could also attach paper tape via a 1050. Or you could get a 047 or 048 modified 024/026 keypunch with a tape reader to do conversions to card. But IBM had stopped making them, so you had to wait for one to be returned. My first paid computer job involved borrowing such machines from other companies while we waited for our own. -- John W.
