Is Ada used outside of the DoD community? If not, then I'm gong to speculate that Gartner analysts may simply not encounter questions about Ada in their client contacts, any more than they probably don't get questions about CP/M or TR-DOS. --AH |

Outside of DoD I believe FAA is using it for some of their new air traffic control systems. Boeing uses it in their newest jetliners. Others who follow Ada more closely than I can certainly add to this list. | As well, last week Gartner has issued a statement on PCs. i.e., there are 1 billion of them. His competitor (IDC) announced that this figure was reached last year. |
