Interesting that Ada is not mentioned at all in the report.

A Freudian slip, perhaps?

Probably not a modern report.

"Garner" is also wrong, and "Fartner" is at least suggestive of probable
accuracy ;-)

Fortunately you seem to not have used "Garner" in the URL.

I think the report was dated December 2007.

If you're not familiar with Gartner Group, they are perhaps the mostly
widely used analyst firm for IT shops for business. That is their
clientele, all of whom get a few hours a year of "analyst time" to ask
questions. I believe that Gartner also does surveys.

They also talk with vendors and they are the creators of the famous
"Gartner Magic Quadrant" showing how vendors stack up against each
other in a particular area. Vendors often expend significant resource
to "convince" Gartner to put them on the top right quarter of the
Quadrant.

Thus, ADA probably never showed up in significant numbers in their
client interactions.

When I read their reports and analyst notes, usually they come across
as sober-minded and reasonably reliable. (unlike certain other
analysts who cant' be described in words that can't be used in a
"family newsgroup."

I know what W. C. Fields said about fish,
and why he didn't drink water.

I've also heard humans talking about the air.

And I've heard Peter Cooke teaching ravens to fly under water.
