This is a discussion on Announcement of Rexx/EEC - encoding, encryption and compressionpackage within the REXX forums in Programming Languages category; Rexx/EEC is an external function package for most Rexx interpreters providing support for the Encryption, Encoding and Compression of Rexx strings. Equivalent functions exist for Decryption, Decoding and Decompression. This is useful if you need to compress data within your Rexx program before storing it to disk. It is also useful for encrypting sensitive data, like passwords, before storing them in a public location.
