| Is there a way to zip and unzip files from a Rexx (Quercus) program without buying the command line version of WinZIP? |

Why not use Infozip? It's really cross-platform and OSS. -- Andreas Schnellbacher |

Definitely get the exe version and stay away from the dll version. At one point, on some platforms, there was a Rexx loadable dll version, but I never heard anything good about that version. -- Michael Lueck Lueck Data Systems http://www.lueckdatasystems.com/ |

Which Rexx interpreter are you using? >Definitely get the exe version and stay away from the dll version. At one point, on some platforms, there was a Rexx loadable dll version, but I never heard anything good about that version. I found both jZip and Info-zip. I also happened to discover that WinZIP now offers a free command-line add-on for the latest Standard version (11.2), which I already have. Previously, it was only free with the Pro version. I downloaded it and am experimenting. Thanks |

I have used it both with Object Rexx and Regina. Seriously, Info-Zip is nothing to be concerned about. -- Michael Lueck Lueck Data Systems http://www.lueckdatasystems.com/ |

Was this directed at someone else? I don't have any concerns about Info-Zip. I don't know anything about it. Since I learned that WinZIP has a free command line interface, and since I already have WinZIP installed, I thought I would try it first. |

Oh. No, I was just curious as to which one you were using because I need to find a new one. I've been using Quercus and there is no development or support. I would expect that if works with any, it would work with all -- just like any DOS command. |
