Sendmail with auxprop and sasldb on Debian Etch 4.0r4a anyone?

Hi!

Does anybody use sendmail authentication with auxprop against a sasldb
on Debian Etch 4.0r4a? I'm poking around on it for a week now and cant
get it going.

Got it working with saslauthd against sasldb or ldap, but I need auxprop
to use the *-MD5 mechs.

There should be no significant differences to the same kind of setup for
Debian sarge (ahemm, that system is overdue for an OS upgrade).

In /etc/mail/sendmail.mc:

include(`/etc/mail/sasl/sasl.m4')dnl


In /etc/mail/sasl/sasl.m4 edit all sections marked to be edited
(especially the Auth-Mechs).


/etc/mail/sasl/Sendmail.conf.2:
auto_transition: true
pwcheck_method: auxprop
auxprop_plugin: sasldb
allowanonymouslogin: 0
allowplaintext: 1
mech_list: EXTERNAL DIGEST-MD5 CRAM-MD5 NTLM LOGIN PLAIN


BTW: If you would like to discuss this in German, you might consider
using de.comm.software.mailserver.
