Service stays in 'Starting' state
I have both a front-end and application server running MOSS. WSS Web
application has been running only on front-end server, and now have a handful
of web applications set up.
I started the WSS Web Application (from Services on Server) on the
application server in order to test a function. The status has remained at
'Starting' for a day now. All the websites (except for the SSP Admin site)
have copied over in IIS. I did see a problem where some of the IIS sites did
not start immediately, and manually doing so generated a "too many listening
ports" error, but I corrected this by adding the MaxEndPoints to the
registry.
Any ideas on how I can correct this?
Thanks,

Re: Service stays in 'Starting' state
Have you tried an iisreset /restart
?
You could also try to restart the machine.
Is there any info in the logs?

Re: Service stays in 'Starting' state
Tried iisreset, restart machine, and no, I have found nothing significant in
the logs, not yet at least.
