Usage ****ysis

  1. Default Usage ****ysis

    Hi There,

    MOSS 2007, single server:

I can't get usage ****ysis to work. I get the following on SpUsageWeb.aspx:

No data is available for this report. Usage ****ysis might have been enabled
only recently, or there might have been insufficient usage to result in any
    values for the report.

These are in the list of ServiceRunningJobs.aspx:

Office SharePoint Usage ****ytics Log Import TILLSON2003 Succeeded
    100% 7/15/2007 9:27 PM
Office SharePoint Usage ****ytics Processing TILLSON2003 Succeeded
    100% 7/16/2007 7:30 AM

    Usage ****ysis TILLSON2003 Succeeded 100% 7/15/2007 9:00 PM
    Usage ****ysis TILLSON2003 Succeeded 100% 7/15/2007 9:00 PM
    Usage ****ysis TILLSON2003 Succeeded 100% 7/15/2007 9:00 PM
    Usage ****ysis TILLSON2003 Succeeded 100% 7/15/2007 9:00 PM

Has anyone seen this before? I tried to move the log file location to
another drive, but I get event log error saying the location does not exist,
    which is not true.

What should I try to fix this? Are there any detailed docs regarding usage
processing settings that you can point me to?

    TIA,
    Josh

Have you configured Usage ****ysis using central admin site?

I am getting the same message. My environment is within an Extranet under SSL
so i was thinking that there might be some problem reading from the file, but
I do not see any errors in access.

    Any help would be appreciated.

  6. Default Re: Usage ****ysis

Managed newsgroup replies only come if the original poster in a thread

    a) has a managed newsgroup agreement
    and
    b) uses the exact form of name etc. when posting his message that was
agreed when signing up for managed newsgroups.
    and
    c) the newsgroup posted to is managed (this one has no reply from a MS
guy with a Chinese name in the several months I can look back so I doubt
    if it is)

If not all apply the Microsoft managed newsgroup guys won't come in.

They also won't come in if the question has already been answered by
someone else before they see it.

(and they also only work office hours Mon-Fri Shanghai time)

    hope this helps ...

    Thanks Mike,

All except (c) apply in this group I guess. Unfortunately, MSDN ng support
hasn't gotten the news as to which groups are current for sharepoint.
They're still 'managing' the portalserver and windowsservices groups.

I have received excellent response in other groups just no current managed
    groups for sharepoint.

I passed on the note that the new sharepoint newsgroups still don't seem
to be covered by the managed newsgroups system to a contact at MS who
might be able to do something about it.
