hello,
after an in-place upgrade of SharePoint 2003, all went well, except that the
2003 version had alot of areas, about 50 of them and some had a ton of
sub-areas. after the upgrade all areas became sharepoint sites and the sub
areas became subsites under the sharepoint sites. now the home page is left
as it was in SharePoint 2003, I need to somehow turn that to site to a
collaboration site, not sure how to do that. If I cannot do that I'd like to
simply delete the file and add a new default file, because All of the options
on that page is the same as sharepoint 2003, so I can see create sub-areas
which does not exist anymore when I click on it, it takes me to create a
sharepoint site. Any help on changing this main site to a default 2007 site
(collaboration) would be appriated thanks. (also, why "SharePoint Site"?) is
that different from Site Collection? or is it just a regular subsite under
the main sharepoint site?
thanks
