Yes, there exists a PDF writer package called SPDF from Bruce Badger.

Also, a few years ago I have developed a PDF parser/generator which
allows you to parse a PDF file, add some text and then generate
everything back to PDF. Maybe I will find time to add this to the public
repository if more people are interested...

Another way to do it is also to generate e.g. RTF file and then use
OpenOffice to convert the RTF document to PDF. Or you could also use a
PDF printer driver, then generate a printable document and print it to
the PDF printer driver to generate PDF file.

There are really a lot of possibilities to generate PDF, you just have
to decide which one is the most appropriate for you.

Best regards,

David

Hi David,

the pdf writer package sounds interesting to me. I would like to
create the pdf directly from my application, no other apps, no
printer.
Do you know where to find the package?

Thanks!
Cheers
Marco

Hi Marco,

I have uploaded the SPDF project to the public STS repository.

Best regards

Why, do you have problems with using STS?

Donato non sunt ora inspicienda caballo ;-)

Seriously, if there is something that gives you problems with using STS
then report it, maybe it will be fixed. I know that some people prefer
working with files. So if it is just a matter of
habits/taste/preferences then I can not do anything.
