Individual developer has to do Unit testing (either it is code or UI)
As per my knowledge completion of the unit testing is completion o
development of that unit as per requirements. QA will make sure tha
all the requirements are developed and ready for use by doing th
quality control activity (Testing).


Lighter side, if QA is doing unit testing, better QA should write th
code )
