USB Host controller driver test problem
Hi Steve / K.S.Huang or an other gentleman,
I am not able to run USB host controller driver test in windows CE
5.0.I'm not even able to find the documentation for this test also.
The USB host controller is on my target board and for that, the driver
is written. My board has 2 USB ports and 2 USB devices can be attached
at a time.Interrupt transfer and bulk transfer are supported and there
is no support for isochronous transfer.
The problem is as follows:
When I start the test, initially it asks for the user to connect a USB
device to the USB host. My board has 2 USB ports.I connected a bulk
transfer device i.e a USB hard disk to one port and a USB
mouse/keyboard to the other.
But in spite of attaching the USB devices to the USB ports,
the test will be asking me for attaching a device and after some time,
all the tests will be "skipped" with the initial message being "no
device was attached".
The USB devices are perfectly working as intended when attached to my
Windows CE based device(i.e mouse, keyboard, hard disk).
But why is the host controller driver test not able to detect them even
when they are attached?
Where can I find the documentation about this test?
Any reply regarding this will be a great help.
I had put a query related to this long back, but I couldn't get any
replies.
Hope this time I get some...
Thanks and regards,
Kamaal

Sorry for the inconvenience, the documentation will be published some time
soon. While I am gonna attach the document draft to this email thread by
tomorrow.
Thanks

Re: USB Host controller driver test problem
Hi Wei,
Thanks again for your reply to my second mail.
You have told to use CEPC with netchip2280 card for running USB test.
But my target board and the supporting BSP is MIPS based one and in
this case how do I run the test?

Kamaal

Re: USB Host controller driver test problem
Hi Kamaal:
If you are testing USB host on your target board, then a CEPC with
netchip2280 card will be the "device" side. The tests will be launched on
your BSP. Here is a brief steps:
1) build CEPC image with netchip2280 support, download to CEPC. run "s
lufldrv" through PB, you will see that net2280lpbk.dll being loaded.
2) build your MIPS image and download to your board, run " s tux -o -d
ddlx -c"usbtest" -xXXXX", connect your board and CEPC through USB cable,
then you will see the test going on...
