Hi,
You can use the PC keyboard to enter text on the emulator's eshell, if that=
helps. Not usre if you can use the emulator keypad to enter text in the es=
hell.

Perhaps through a wireless keyboard? (if one is supported)? This might be a=
better question for the UIQ forums - I can't even work out how to get the =
UIQ Emulator keypad to switch to "T9"

Hi,
You need a special cable (a debug cable), that you need to connect to the p=
hones' USB port. This one needs a USB driver too ! .

Anyways, after that you can configure the hyperterminal, invoke eshell and=
then use the PC keyboard to type in the aplhabets.

This is one way of doing it that I know of.Could be other ways as well.

Configuring hyper terminal for the debug cable is easy:
Choose 'New Connection'
In the 'Connect To'-dialog, choose the COM port that your cable is connecte=
d to in the 'Connect Using' menu.
Port settings: 115200 bps, 8 bits, None, 1, None

The problem, as previously mentioned, is that you need USB drivers for the =
cable and I doubt that they are in the DevKit..

The easy work-arounds I can think of would be using a Bluetooth keyboard or=
using your PC as a Bluetooth keyboard, if you can find a HID client for it=
..
