| Im trying to find a way to identify the phone model via the Bluetooth air i= nterface without going through pairing and without triggering any promths o= n the remote device. I would like to detect if the remote device is a: N95, E60, E70 etc..=20 I know S60 have a product ID which can be extracted from local Symbian appl= ications. [http://www.newlc.com/Common-products-UIDs.html] But how can I get similar UID via the Blueototh interface ? |

| Hi, You can not do this due to security issues. The specification for this prot= ocol specifically states this has to be pairing involved to stop potential = hackers accessing your phone without you knowing about it. Regards Khalid Symbian Ltd |
