Hi, I would like to programmatically configure VPN connection on Symbian s60 th= ird edition devices? Please advise me how to proceed this and step by step procedures. 1. Do i need to install any particular software for this (or) is there any = built-in VPN software available on series 60 thrid edition devices? 2. If i need to install software separately and then configure VPN programm= atically is possible, how to do that? 3. There is no chance to programmatically do configure VPN connection on th= ese device and it can be done thru only software manually? Please send me the steps in step by step, so that i can create a sample and= try this? It would be appreciated if i get help as soon as possible. Thanks. Prabu.

Some S60 devices have a Nokia mobile VPN client, some don't (on those it ha= s to be installed separately). For S60 3rd Ed. FP1 devices Nokia has also released a new VPN client and a = Windows based tool to create configuration files/policies for it. For earli= er versions, it isn't that easy, as you can read up here (a thread with alm= ost 300 posts): [http://discussion.forum.nokia.com/fo...0837&page=3D8] As far as I know, there are no published APIs to do the configurations for = any version on the device with your own app.

I have not seen any published documentation that would indicate that it is = possible to do programmatically. You may ask Nokia via the S60 API partnering program/process: http://www.forum.nokia.com/main/tech...nical_support/
