BU Description

Product verification China team is part of Spirent PAB engineering PV
organization. In this role you will be a key member of a QA test team
of the next generation software test application to deliver key
usability and performance improvements over the existing product
suite. The objective of this team is to guarantee related Spirent PAB
products be released with high quality. The China team had a fast
growth in the past months. The team mainly focuses on IP network
technology including L2/L3, routing protocols, Access, VoIP and L4-L7
applications.

Qualifications

* Candidate must have a demonstrated record of test planning and
automated test execution of high quality software products and
delivering them to market.
* Will be required to infuse the team with a common vision, and to
motivate the core team and associated teams to do their best.
* Must possess the ability to effectively communicate with all
team members and with the management team on design issues, test
planning and decisions.
* Able to clearly articulate and defend test planning decisions to
a wide audience in both verbal and written communication.
* Able to investigate and recommend technical solutions to complex
problems with little or no management direction.
* The candidate must have a minimum of three years development
experience TCL/TK.
* The candidate must have a minimum of one year development
experience in C, C++, C#, or Perl.
* Able to configure Cisco, Foundry, and Juniper switches and
routers.
* CCNA qualification recommended. CCNP routing qualification
preferred.
* The candidate must possess expertise in a broad range of
Networking Technologies including IP and TCP related protocols.
* The candidate must have experience configuring and debugging
Routing Protocols such as RIP, OSPF, ISIS, LDP, RSVP and BGP.
Knowledge of MPLS and VLAN Technologies is also highly desirable.
* The candidate must have experience configuring and debugging
Access Protocols such as IGMP/MLD, PIM, and DHCP.
* Possess expert knowledge in a variety of Product Verification
processes.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

BSCS/EE minimum with at least 3 to 5 years of software testing
experience in the telecommunications and/or application development
industry. MSCS/EE preferred.

PERFORMANCE OBJECTIVES:

* Achieve in-depth understanding of Spirent’s product domain,
pertinent technologies and development processes.
* Assess and understand basic testing methodologies, Spirent
products, and next generation product requirements.
* Understand Product Verification automated test environment,
tools and script development process.
* Understand software components in the proposed architecture.
* Work with marketing and engineering management to clearly
understand requirements for the assigned features, and translate these
requirements into specific test requirements.
* Review current Test Environment and Software Architecture and
propose improvements.
* Will assume complete responsibility of the testing of the
assigned software modules and features in Automation and HLTAPI.
* Will be responsible for maintaining the vision and technical
strategy of the software product to ensure design decisions factor in
the long-term goals for the product while balancing the concerns for
functionality, time to market, product quality and end customer
satisfaction.
* Effectively lead Spirent’s development community by consulting
to individuals and teams, coordinating test plan reviews, test case
reviews.
* Assist the deployment effort of Spirent’s automated Test
Harness, THoT
* Oversee and maintain the HLTAPI automation systems/environments
currently in use.
* Develop new HLTAPI TCL scripts for additional API test coverage.
* Assist the development team in running Integration Tests and
debugging script failures during the development process
* Lead the team through integration testing and product
verification.
