nibz version 15 NEW! DMA Bus

This is a discussion on nibz version 15 NEW! DMA Bus within the vhdl forums in Programming Languages category; Hi Still a low LE count, added a DMA bus which you could connect to another WISHBONE master, or strap on some other logic. I am thinking of a possible interrupt vector passing protocol for the next update. Fmax with area and nothing fancy is about 28MHz in C5 MAX II. cheers jacko....

Default nibz version 15 NEW! DMA Bus

Hi

Still a low LE count, added a DMA bus which you could connect to
another WISHBONE master, or strap on some other logic. I am thinking
of a possible interrupt vector passing protocol for the next update.

Fmax with area and nothing fancy is about 28MHz in C5 MAX II.

cheers
jacko.

Also get the FREE DAC2 source. A neat little digital to analog
converter using phase ultrasonics, for output on a single digital pin
for feeding into a LPF. This is the b***ocks!

'C' compiler?

Thanks, Syms.

p.s. A fair few folks on this newsgroups are 'merican. They might think
b***ocks are buttocks, rather than bollocks. In any case, the bollocks need
to belong to a dog to be any good. Unless I'm talking bollocks.

No toolchain at present. For a C compilier I would require a compilier
which was free, and had all operations defined as subroutine
addresses. The subroutine set for the compilier could then be written,
any ideas?

The dac2.vhd does not work, dac.vhd will. Use greater than 4 times
oversampling. i.e. 66MHz >1024 times oversampling of CD quality audio,
set LPF on pin at about 1MHz.

Well spent 2 hours looking, downloading a few pdfs, looks like there
is no easy solution. looks like a MIDP2 applet for a phone, with a
simulated virtual machine, and then build on a forth compilier,..

I'm aiming for light weight systems, not the full llvm and the sink
too.
