a portlet has to be on a page in portal to render it. You can create a hidden page and put the portlet on that and call it via a link if you wanted you would either need to use the url generation spi and call the portlet on the page with no theme, or use the url generation tags to do the same IBM Certified System Administrator -- WebSphere Portal V6.0, V5.1, V5.0 IBM Certified Solution Developer -- WebSphere Portal V5.1, v6.0 The postings on this site are my own and do not necessarily represent the positions, strategies, or opinions of IBM

I would create a page under content root, and give it the attribute hidden, by default those pages will not show up. then depending on where you are calling it from either use the url generation tags to create a link that will target a new window and make it target the portlet on the page, and set the theme template to plain or do the same with the url generation spi IBM Certified System Administrator -- WebSphere Portal V6.0, V5.1, V5.0 IBM Certified Solution Developer -- WebSphere Portal V5.1, v6.0 The postings on this site are my own and do not necessarily represent the positions, strategies, or opinions of IBM

the only place it could show is un the launch menu, to hide it there use the page parameter com.ibm.portal.Hidden set to true more info here http://publib.boulder.ibm.com/infoce...__hidden_pages IBM Certified System Administrator -- WebSphere Portal V6.0, V5.1, V5.0 IBM Certified Solution Developer -- WebSphere Portal V5.1, v6.0 The postings on this site are my own and do not necessarily represent the positions, strategies, or opinions of IBM
