Run a task when the user deletes the portlet on a page

This is a discussion on Run a task when the user deletes the portlet on a page within the Websphere forums in Application Servers & Tools category; We have a requirement where we need to run a certain task when the user deletes a portlet on a page. When the user deletes the portlet by clicking the X on the portlet toolbar, we want to invoke a function. There is no API currently available to do this or the documentation is missing. Did anyone do this before? Using WPS 6.0.1...

We have a requirement where we need to run a certain task when the user deletes a portlet on a page. When the user deletes the portlet by clicking the X on the portlet toolbar, we want to invoke a function. There is no API currently available to do this or the documentation is missing. Did anyone do this before?

as far as I know of, there are no hooks or listeners for something like this at this time
