It's also being released at the same time as the PlayStation 3 version in
North America and Europe. That almost certainly means that there's not
going to be a simultaneous release of the Japanese and English versions
of the game. Assuming Square/Enix is planning to release it in Japan
later this year, and given that Star Ocean 4 is already slotted in for
Spring 2009 release that might mean the North American and Europe release
of Final Fantasy XIII won't be until Summer 2009.

anyway, i don't see why a CFW PSP won't work with a PS3, after all the
newer versions all use the official Sony FW, then just change it a

SE origionaly announced that there would be seperate games in the FFXIII
universe for the nextgen consols, so this announcment is actualy one of we
are culling one game and using the other across two platforms. What we don't
actualy know is if it's the PS3 or the 360 one that got culled.

No, but a simultaneous release has been rumoured for a while now.
At the last E3 Square/Enix said "We'll, try our best" when asked
about the posibility of a worldwide relase of Final Fantasy XIII.
Their announcement today at E3 pretty much confirms that they've given
up on that idea.
