| Early Sept price reduction on X360 hardware: * Arcade (no hard drive) to $199 * Pro (60GB) to $299 * Elite (120GB) to $399 We should also expect hardware and game bundles for all hardware versions coming in the fourth quarter, just in time for the holidays. http://arstechnica.com/journals/thum...e-in-september |

To be fair, this is only a rumor. Granted it's the same source that called it last time... but still... Not an official announcement. $200 seems fair for the arcade pack, and $250 for the 20 GB system seems right. The others seem high to me. When the 20 giggers are gone they should lower the price of the 60 GB system to $250. Then drop the elite to $350 or $300. -- Jordan |

Piss take or what? But even so, going of PC world prices at the moment: 40 GB - internal - 2.5" - ATA-100 £25.83 TravelStar 5K250 - Hard drive - 120 GB - internal - 2.5" - SATA-150 £30.45 Hakk |

| I don't mind paying a little more for such a simple gaming device. Just put in a disc and connect an ethernet cable and I'm LIVE playing games with people around the world in a matter of minutes. |

I think it was a one meg upgrade for our amiga 1200 that floored me... somewhere around £100. It wasn't long after we bought it that they went belly up. -- Paul (We won't die of devotion) ------------------------------------------------------- Stop and Look http://www.geocities.com/dreamst8me/ |
